“Your excitement is greatly appreciated but I didn’t exactly choose to celebrate my birthday without my family. Thank Mufasa you’re here or I’d lose my mind.”,she replies.

“That’d definitely help. Thanks.”,she takes the girl’s offer.

“ALE”, she screams, tackling the girl. “Where the hell have you been? I’ve been looking all over the school for you.”,she laughs.

“Hmm, looks like something else I’ll have to ask her about. You’re wrong though. Not every shaman can shapeshift. My father is a shaman but he’s a mandrill all day and night. Though it’s true that we communicate to animals, nature and spirits a lot easier.”

You could’ve put a 5-year old in charge and they would’ve come up with a better idea.

First off, you don’t bring back the dead. You’re messing with the Circle of Life and It’ll come back to bite you:look at Beast and tell me I’m wrong. There are millions of people who want to bring back someone they loved  but the people in charge are supposed to know better. I doubt the fact that Auradon’s royals listened to my father before creating this mess.

Second of all, you don’t punish children for something they didn’t do. A long time ago, Simba exiled  Scar’s followers and their children to the Outlands. Years down the line, Scar’s  chosen succesor, Kovu, fell in love with Simba’s daughter and civil war broke out in the Pridelands. There’s peace now but we can’t let it happen again. Beast should’ve learned something from our past but he went and did the opposite.

The simple knowledge of the fact that bringing back the dead is possible is dangerous. Someday someone will take advantage of it and who knows who’ll save us then. Knowing this place, probably the very VK’s that so many people despise. The VK’s that now live with the trauma of something they didn’t deserve. 

Seriously, do I need to say more?

“I almost laughed.”

“Why, because my father is a mandrill or because I was raised by lions?”, the girl retorts. “Do tell, what gave it away? The fact that I’m sitting here all by myself?” she replies.

Then she takes in his words and jumps back on her feet.

“Are you on some kind of unpaid safari?”

"You're the desert prince right?"

Aziz turned around to face the person calling him. People didn't usually hang out near the tourney field after the practice ended.

"Yes, you can say that. Why?"

"I wanna ask you something", the girl replied.

"I have a girlfriend."

She rolled her eyes. "Nothing like that. It's about the magic carpet."

"How do you know I have one?"

"I didn't. You just confirmed it."

The prince smiled. "Sneaky. I like you. "

"I'll take it.", she shrugged. "I want a ride."

"Where?"

"The Isle of the Lost."

"You're crazy."

"I've been told. "

"I get wanting to help them but that place isn't a holiday resort. You can ask Fairy Godmother for a pen pal assignment instead."

"I was raised by animals, I can survive the Isle for a day."

"Wait. You're the new girl."

"Yeah. Ayana Kani, daughter of Rafiki."

"Aziz Al-Hamed but you seem to know that already. Nice to meet you.", he extended his hand.

"I can say the same thing, if you help me.", she didn’t shake his hand in return.

"You're not gonna give up.", he noticed.

"Never. But I assume you want an explanation first."

"Well, I'm no cab driver so yeah."

"I wanna meet the daughter of Scar. I heard she's there too.", she explained. The girl’s pen pal, Alemayehu, had told Ayana about her.

"They don't like us. You're gonna hurt yourself.", he replied.

"If I get hurt I'll take it.  Don't tell me you weren't curious about Jafar's son at first."

Aziz  surrendered with a sigh. "Point taken.I'll help you. But this stays between us, got it?"

"Yeah.I don't wanna get caught either."

"Good ", he nodded. "Now, how are you planning to get the device that opens the barrier and helps you communicate to the other side?"

"I'll figure something out.",she smirked. She was planning on stealing it but she wasn't gonna tell that to the boy.

"I'll ask the King for it on the premise of meeting my Isle pen pal. I'm friends with him."

The girl looked impressed for a second. "Let's meet outside the school tonight."

"Agreed. "

Before Ayana left, she gave the prince a hug. "Thanks. I won't forget it.", she told him. She wasn’t big on hugging strangers but the prince just gave her the chance to meet the daughter of Scar. She was grateful.

"No worries", he hugged her back, though shocked at first. She didn't come off as grateful or kind at first sight. Just like a lioness with a guarded heart.
