It's poor form to talk about one's follower count around here, I know, but what the hell, I'll take the heat -

1,700 plus two of you, my fellow Tumblr travelers, have joined my humble cyber-kennel and given this mutt the treat of your presence here, awrrrrRUFFF!

It's noteworthy because this is, by far, the largest number of followers I've ever had on any online platform - my accounts tend to be low-profile and attract a specialized audience, 200-600 followers max, with the occasional breakout post -

and by my rough count, at least two-thirds of you are explicitly trans, non-binary, plural, queer, aro, ace, et al., all the way through the rainbow alphabet and beyond. I'm so glad you're here.

At its best, this blog is an oasis among tall trees, free from the traps and snares and stinging nettles of online life, where we don't have to dodge insults and brickbats all the damn time, we can have a laugh and a smoke and pet the shiny rubber puppies as they chase their balls...
