"đ: does my muse believe in love-at-first-sight? in soulmates? in fate?"
âLove at first sight? Nah...thatâs for fairy tales and relationships that arenât meant to last. Itâs an extreme rarity, and really cute when it works out, but...more often than not it doesnât work out.â
âSame thing with âfateâ, Iâve...done enough multiverse traveling to know that âfateâ is...usually something either overly romanticized, or used as an excuse. Sometimes folks go through hardships. Sometimes - a lot of times! - your first relationship isnât meant to be your last. Was it really fate that caused someone to have a rocky relationship, and take some time to find themselves, before remembering youâve been their friend through all of it? Did fate turn that into a relationship? Did that same fate make someone you relay like look past you to someone else? Or is it more convenient to blame âfateâ. You see what I mean.â
âSoulmates though. Thatâs a notion I can get behind. When youâre with someone, and you just âclickâ so well that you canât get enough of them. Where youâre fine and good on your own, but when theyâre around everything just gets better. When you know that even on your worst, dreariest, crappy days, a hug, or a smile, or a âyou ok?â text just makes things not so bad. Yeah. Soulmates are a thing.â
