ok see, i love nathan and i think he’s super talented and he has really grown into his own skater this past season but BOI DO I HAVE A BONE TO PICK ABOUT HIS COSTUMES and i think you do too judging by those winky faces lol 

Nathan also had a costume change for his sp so not sure which one you want me to tear to shreds but i’ll do my least favourite of the two bc i am personally offended 

Nathan Chen’s Caravan ver2. Worlds19: Nemesis but the strip has moved (SERIOUSLY WTF IS THIS SHIT?? IT WOULD LOOK COOL AND MODERN I GUESS IF HE HADNT BASICALLY WORN THE SAME CONCEPT FOR NEMESIS LAST SEASON OMGGGGG HUNNY YOU GO TO YALE IM SURE MANY TALENTED PEOPLE THERE WOULD BE HAPPY TO HELP YOU W ORIGINAL COSTUME IDEAS THAT DONT TAKE INSPO FROM A PENGUIN - actually i totally hold his yale roommates accountable for letting him leave the dorm like this. granted it does fit him well at the very least which i cannot say for this fs costume) 

Nathan Chen’s Land of All fs: PYJAMAS (honest to go my first reaction to seeing this was SURELY NOT, like hunny, i understand that you don’t like the sparkles and colours typically associated with fs costumes but pls. if you have to produce this utter ill fitting travesty just to avoid the sparkles you might as well just embrace the sparkles. just do it. welcome to the dark side. you can still look cool and edgy even with sparkles, and i.want.to.see.you.wear.colour. again, holding the yale roommates accountable for this one but even more bc the shirt isn’t even FITTED - seriously the more i look the angrier i get someone get this shit out of my face it’s called figure skating costume not figure skating training gear)

Trying to keep it to this season so I’ll only do his gala costume from this season (but for the record notte stellata is absolute favourite, beautiful swan boi :’) ) 

Yuzu’s Haru Yo Koi: sakura jellyfish

ok so version 2 (which technically i should’ve called version 1 but i forgot that she had a different one for autumn classic so shhhh) 

Zhenya’s Libertango ver2 Autumn Classic: very red but also aren’t her shoulders cold??? (honestly i really don’t care for it and think it’s v plain and boring, glad she got rid of it THANK U, NEXT.  the rose gold blades were an iconic moment for the minute and a half that she wore them lol, wonder why she stopped) 

Zhenya’s Libertango ver3 Russian Nats + Worlds : black widow tiddy window costume ( i actually kind of think it’s p interesting that as the season progressed she gravitated more towards these dark sombre serious business colours, still not my fave out of the Libertango series but i’d put this at a solid no.2 out of the 3, it makes her look v grown up and sophisticated)

oohhhh i’ve gotten heaps of asks about Otonal but none about Origin so let’s go

Yuzu’s Origin:before seeing it irl: sparkly black tree trunk after seeing it irl: SPICY BLACK LACE BOI 

(I’m probably totally biased bc this is one of my top fave yuzu costumes of all time bc it’s so sophisticated and sleek which isn’t his usual style. I truly truly believe that photos don’t do this costume justice. The detailing on this thing is INSANE, there are so many rhinestones the boy stands out like a lighthouse when he’s wearing this. seriously, you cannot miss yuzuru hanyu in his origin costume. and the LACE CUT OUTS oml don’t even get me started, it’s so spicy i love it. tbh defs more a costume i would associate more w a passionate tango but i’ll take what i can get hahahaha)
