“You are correct in that this is a different kind of poison. You may try to at least stabilize her with Heal Bell if you feel that might work. Though I suppose I should explain... You are aware of the Hidden Power of each individual Pokemon, yes? Well... Gemini's Hidden Power is of the Poison-type. But... she isn't really able to use it. I fear that may... partially be my fault,” the shadowy Umbreon closed his eyes.
“As I have stated, I am the first Umbreon. But I am also her ancestor. Though.... The Umbreon species were not always Dark-type. Back in my time... many... MANY eons ago.. Umbreon were Poison-type. But.. a couple of centuries after all the Eeveelutions were established, something horrific had happened.”

“The first Espeon... was dead. Slain. Nobody knew who had done it, but then.. someone decided the blame should fall on me, since I was the closest to her. This turned the others against me. They even turned my own son against me, he growled before lowering his gaze with an apologetic expression.
“I should get to the point, my apologies. Ultimately, I was.... imprisoned, sealed away, and the other leaders made it to where that no Eevee born in Henkan Forest--The territory that the Eeveelutions settled in as their own--would be likely to have the capability to have Poison as their Hidden Power type. I would assume out of fear that if one did... especially one of my bloodline.. then the seal on me would weaken. This is where Gemini comes in.”
He paused briefly after that, before continuing, gaze filled with mixed emotions. “Many eons after my imprisonment, little Gemini was born.. a small, frail child. I would wager it was a combination of factors that led her to be so sickly. But when the current.. Elders of Henkan noticed that she did in fact have Poison as her Hidden Power... they wanted her dead. Simply because of their fear,” a weary sigh paused his speech briefly once more. “Anyways.. the point is... due to Gemini being unable to use her Hidden Power, the poison builds up in her system. And given that she is still somewhat sickly, this can lead to coughing fits. Thankfully... her evolving into an Umbreon mitigated this to an extent. I fear if... she had evolved into something else, like Sylveon or Leafeon.. she would've succumbed.”
He then averted his gaze, hoping this would answer most of the questions.
