2. Favorite thing about this ship? the thing that made me really latch onto it in a way i've never gone crazy about a ship before is truly how novel it is. big strong guy who explicitly wants a woman to tell him what to do, and is not emasculated or shamed for it. mean tough lady who is not forced to soften or become more 'feminine' to be attractive and desired by a man. i love how it's hot and it's fun. i love how it's got really fun thematic depth if you want to go there, but it still rocks if it's just hot hookups
3. Least favorite thing about this ship? This is mostly about fan reaction rather than the ship itself but it makes me sad that it gets treated like a joke by lots of fans. people are mean about it on twitter especially, and that really bums me out. i wish gooey got even more screentime even though i realize why she didn't.
9. Speaking of, would this ship be good at having a pet? What kind of pet would they have? i answered this in lisa's ask too, but yes! i like to give gooey a pet familiar, i like to imagine that princess doesn't bite gooey because jet would have thought gooey was so cool. i think theo is responsible and gooey is fun and they get to balance each other out.
16. If you have written fics for this ship, what is your favorite fic you have written for this ship? Don't write? Recommend a fic of this ship then! thank you for pandering to me. i've written them so many times and they're all my precious children, the ones i'm the most proud of however is gooeybear sugar baby fic for a one shot i think theo discovers a uniform kink is really really fun too.
24. Does this ship remind you of another ship? there are parts of it that remind me of meve & reynard from one of the witcher spinoff games. he's a knight whose devotion to his role as advisor and general prevents him from confessing his feelings to his warrior queen. he'd rather pine silently than ever speak his feelings aloud. i feel like there are so few characters like gooey in any media that i wish there were more ships like them. helen & eddis from the queen's thief also get close at times. big boy heart of gold who is down so bad for a tough lady

FREE QUESTION! one thing i really love about them is how flexible the arrangement they have is. it allows for so many interpretations of their relationship that are all canon compliant. i love permanent fuck buddies. i love silently partners forever. i love get publicly married and have a kid. i love both alloaro gooey and alloallo gooey. i love t4t gooeybear. it's a sandbox that i am so happy when people want to play in it with me. i don't have ideas for fics ever interpretation that i think is fun, and am always so excited when someone comes at it from a new/different angle than me. (as long as they don't decide that actually theo's 'still' in love with lapin.)
sundrysyx 8. If this ship were animals (if they're not already), what animals would they be? I feel like barry and sid are both really dog coded?? like barry is a big friendly newfoundland and sid is a corgi or something. they're best friends and barry is the muscle and sid is all agility and trickery.
15. One to three AUs you would like to see explored with this ship? wow wow wow, i haven't thought about AUs that much for them because the canon world is so big and full of possibility, but i do love au's. i find wild west au's really charming and seeing cowgirl sid would be really fun... college roommate au would be really fun to do, w/ a slow burn friends to lovers will they/won't they.
21. What would be some pet names they would give each other? Sid & Bare are already so endearing and cute to me. I do think sid would lean into diner waitress mode and call Barry 'sugar' sometimes. I feel like so many murph characters would go with 'sweetheart.' maybe it's just that it's my favorite thing to be called. i find it really endearing.
