Hey, I wanted to say I kinda know what you're saying about the "violence against cops" thing. My dad isn't a cop anymore, but he was for many years. He quit because of dirty cops and because there were other people in the force trying to get him in trouble and he wasn't about to deal with that. My dad saved a lot of lives and did his best as a cop so that he could provide for us, so when I see people making those "kill all cops" kind of posts, it makes me feel like their saying;(Cont.)
"Kill these people who are trying to make a living" "kill these people who are providing for their families" "kill these people who are saving lives". And I KNOW who and what they're actually talking about, but it still hits me in a really personal way(I tend to avoid anyone who goes the "Kill all/Harm all ___" route on any subject anyway, cause that's not my kind of social justice). So, just saying that I get it I guess, and I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel, honestly. And to tell the truth, my dad isn't a cop anymore either (he's something similar; I call him a cop for ease) and a lot of that is because of the same reason you mentioned with your dad- he was a clean cop, ratted out some of his dirty coworkers, and was getting shit on. He honestly only thinks of helping people, on the day-to-day.
I don't like the police state of America and I really hate all the problems with police and law enforcement as a whole- there are so many issues and even though I was raised to trust cops, I'll often see one and shiver wondering if they're going to look at me and decide to make trouble for me. Cops in general? Are racist, sexist, bigoted, and dangerous. But most cops that I've met, that I've known through my father, or that I'm related to.... well, they're certainly not without their problems! But when you're so close to them, seeing things about wanting to harm cops.... that's my family. That's my childhood. That scares me.

Shaman isn't... really the right word. None of the terms I used to describe the Treehoppers are the correct word, they're just the first thing that came to mind as an english translation.
I don't know what the right word would be. "Mage" or "Witch" don't seem right, because they have slightly different connotations. A better description would be "The one full of smoke and magic and spirits of the dead" but that's incredibly wordy.
And y'know, I could straight up explain why you're wrong and how I'd rather be a Guardian because they're actually people and not treated as objects and services, but.... Nah. I doubt you would listen. This message strikes me as having been sent by the kind of person that dislikes Mary-Sues and is willing to call anything that is an artist/author "persona" a Mary Sue, and completely shame anyone with a desire to be unique. If I were creating a persona with the intent to be the most "magical rare special thing," there'd be no shame from that. No reason to try and make me feel bad because it literally harms nobody, and if I were doing something that simple to feel good about myself, it'd be kind of neat.
Alas, Shaman Treehoppers are treated and trained to be nothing more than obedient magical and spiritual providers that are seen as an embodiment of a whole tribegrove; never named, and punished for showing a sense of self. And just as sorrowful, you will read this message and think I'm backpedaling in order to get out of trouble, and will either complain privately that I am a shitty person, or you will message me again with the intent to hurt me.

Hell yeah I am. I was thinking the other day about whether to do digitigrade stilt-shoes or just make altered feetsie-shoes- it depends on which interpretation of his feet I'm going by (plantigrade bird feet, kinda, or walking around on his two little birdy toes with a third kinda being off his giant heel) and I've always liked him with weird birdy legs.
