romeo&mercutio for the ship thingy even tho i ship bencutio but oh well you know
who’s the werewolf and who’s the huntermm I’d want Mercutio as the werewolf who is pissed off about his situation and so just lets loose during his shifts, doesn’t even try to hold himself back, and then Romeo as the hunter who isn’t quite sure he wants to do this but his family are all hunters and he’s been trained from childhood. They meet while Mercutio is amusing himself in some new village that Romeo has arrived in after following Mercutio’s tracks, and they ofc hit it off immediately. It all comes to a head when Mercutio shifts, for once trying to keep himself under control - but it’s hard when he’s never tried to control the wolf before. Romeo is patrolling that night, as he does most nights, and the two come across each other ofc. The encounter ends with Mercutio managing to force himself to run back into the forest and Romeo figuring out who the werewolf it. As soon as dawn arrives Romeo follows the tracks and finds Mercutio in his human form, exhausted and helpless, but even though Mercutio has left quite a lot of corpses (mostly animals, but a couple human too) Romeo can’t kill him.
who’s the mermaid and who’s the fishermanRomeo is the naive, curious mermaid who comes across fisherman!Mercutio when he accidentally gets tangled in one of Mercutio’s nets. Mercutio has no interest in mermaids so he quickly helps Romeo loose. Romeo stays for a while and they talk, and ~a newfound friendship~ has been born. If he didn’t know better Romeo would think Mercutio was a siren, because the stories he tells can keep Romeo mesmerized for hours without problems. In return for the stories and for keeping Mercutio from working (as if he did much of that to begin with pffft) Romeo lures fishes into Mercutio’s net. When the feeling of fondness had changed into something more neither have any idea about, though.
who’s the witch and who’s the familiarRomeo is the witch who gets to summon the familiar that has been in his family for generations (it was his father’s, who died a year earlier). Everyone knows that familiars are immortal, powerful, and knowledgeable, but Romeo really wasn’t expecting Mercutio, a human-looking spirit who looks and acts the same age as Romeo himself. Not that he minds, far from it. His mother might not be pleased about all the mischief Romeo finds himself in, but he’s never been happier and the knowledge of having Mercutio by his side until the day he dies only makes him happier. However, familiars aren’t completely immortal - they can’t die of age or natural causes, but there are plenty of other means to end their lives. Now Romeo will find this out first hand. Can he save his familiar, more beloved to him than he was aware of? DUN DUN DUNNN.
who’s the barista and who’s the coffee addictOh, Romeo is so the sweet and flirtatious barista who always remembers you and your order and anything else you’ve talked about. Mercutio is one of the regulars who is never, ever seen without a coffee close by. It’s getting to the point where Romeo is almost worried about Mercutio’s amount of caffeine intake. Good thing Romeo isn’t afraid to sit down next to this handsome coffee addict and tell him about his worries.
who’s the professor and who’s the TARomeo is the most air headed and emotional English literature professor ever, with Mercutio as his devilishly charming TA. Romeo is a constant source of both information and amusement for the students because while he knows his subject super well he can get extremely emotional about the authors and characters, to the point where he often has to excuse himself. No one minds, because Mercutio easily jumps in and takes over the class and if there’s someone who’s good at story telling it’s him - if only he could stop with the flirting and innuendos, that’d be great, before another student has to leave the hall because they’re blushing so hard. So many students have a crush on the sweet and gentle Romeo, but there’s also a very good amount who have crushes on the charming asshole that is Mercutio. There’s an ongoing joke that neither of the two have any time for their students because they’re too busy fucking each other - this is very much the truth, and both Mercutio and Romeo knows about the joke and finds it super hilarious. The students are all in agreement that Mercutio must be the one to write their hellish exams, but in truth it’s a work of art collaboration between Romeo and Mercutio.
who’s the knight and who’s the prince(ss)Mercutio is the spoiled, arrogant, asshole prince with too much charm and street-smarts who Does What He Wants. He finds it a pain to have to be surrounded by guards all the time, so whenever he feels like it he ditches them -by any means- and goes down into the city, where he’s much more comfortable. His sharp tongue has caused more than a few scandals when he got tired of playing nice with other royals/diplomats, so his uncle the King is relieved nowadays when Mercutio skips important meetings/tournaments/feasts/balls. Romeo is the newly titled knight who has just ridden into the city and will be presented to the King and his family the next day, so he takes the chance to relieve his nervousness at a nice tavern. Never did he expect to see his new best friend from the tavern sitting in a throne next to the King, so clearly hungover. When Mercutio manages to stop feeling like someone is using his head as a drum and notices the new knight he’ll have another of his Bright Ideas - his dearly beloved uncle always nags at him about ditching his guards, well now he can stop that because Mercutio found himself a personal knight!
who’s the teacher and who’s the single parentRomeo is the most popular teacher in school, Mercutio is Valentine’s much older brother who cares for Valentine since their parents died many years earlier. Mercutio is way too fond of flirting with Romeo when he picks Valentine up, and Romeo is way too fond of the way Mercutio quickly drops their flirting the moment he sees Valentine. Valentine is way too sick and tired of Mercutio’s one night stands, and how Romeo and Mercutio thinks he doesn’t know about their flirting. He would very much like to stop having to hide in order to give them time to talk with each other gdi, will he have to actually lock them in a room together? He’s seen movies, he knows that always works, ofc.
who’s the writer and who’s the editorMercutio is the writer who produces the most amazing stories Romeo has ever read, and Romeo is honored to be his editor. Now if only Mercutio could finish one story before throwing himself into the new one Romeo’s life would be so much easier gdi.
