🎀 RIBBON - how would they fit into other worlds / aus? what aus would you like to try out? what fictional world would they fit / not fit into?
put that creature in arcane odyssey NOW
there's so much fucked up shit you can do with a character in there. would most likely have shadow magic or a mutation of it, or maybe they have a Curse that lays dormant in them as well. i imagine they'd enjoy using some of the weapons (scythes are planned iirc) and would probably like exploring the dark sea.
okay if you're tired of arcane then give them hanahaki disease. they'll be in a lot of pain, gay and platonic

do you ever think abt the possible luffy angst when he turns 20 (aces age when he died)? like i think luffy having to live with fact that every birthday from now on is a birthday ace was robbed of having would kill him actually
If you have the time, could we see more of Allison?
This is a little bit of an oldish drawing I made not long after I posted the thing for Allison. But once I can find the time I promise that I will draw her more!
I LOVE CRESCENT THANK YOU FOR ASKING she is one of my favorite characters
prompt here
....oh boy, crescent.
so for starters, kisaragi in rejuv is from miera. they are also what is known as an 'eidolon' in their timeline. an eidolon is a person born with the ability to use powers based on a pokemon they are either soul bonded to or are born with as an alternate form. sara here is the latter, called anima. the former is possible with anima as well but that's not as relevant for our purposes. tldr, anima can transform into a pokemon.
eidolons tend to conceal the fact they are one if they're integrated in 'regular' human society (for lack of better term,) instead of living in their own clan. there is a reason for that as well but not relevant.
the relevant thing here is that crescent in this timeline is one as well. so when the two first met, both thought "!! you're one of my kind!" and i imagine that it's a source of comfort once they got past the initial suspicion phase. like, who are you, are you going to hurt me like others in the past have, why have you not hurt me yet. but since neither of them intended to hurt someone they become friends at the orphanage :)
they actually get into a relationship later on, too. i imagine they were low key about it, but i haven't properly given the two during that time a proper fleshing out (something that'll happen while i play kf most likely).
....enough context let's get to the parts that make me insane okay. you hear me. im crazy.
during storm-9, sara is the first to die. i mentioned this before at some point but sara gets visions of future disasters and was in hysterics for a while before it happened. so when one of their friends was in danger of being turned to stone by nihilego.... it just made the most sense that she'd take action since they'd be able to predict so. and, also, because they'd be able to predict the rest of the a-gang dying as well and would 100% try to stop that from happening, so in order for crescent to be able to make it alone to the end, i thought it was best that sara dies early.
in the next part, there's brief mention of self loathing, so im cutting it here.
being in soul limbo for several decades did erode sara's memories. they still can remember sometimes but it's very painful for them emotionally, which brings us to:
when crescent revives them, sara is very confused and disoriented, and then horrified at the news that everyone else was dead. and that they also were dead. they don't understand why cres revived them of all people. to them, they were the worst one to pick. and they did not cope well with the fact that (save for cres) all of their friends are dead, for reasons not relevant at the moment. they have a pretty big freak out here, but no anger. and, well, they break up with crescent during. i would need to see the scene in canon again before i ramble on more since i don't remember many details but the end result is the same.
and by no means am i about to defend or justify that-- but that is the thought process behind why sara did what they did. i imagine it deeply hurts crescent. like, imagine all this shit you go through to reunite with someone you lost long ago, and they immediately reject you for it. ouch is the understatement of the millennium. but what is done is done and sara can't back out of it.
since sara is their own host there's divergence from canon when it's relevant. once the two part ways, there's very clear that there's some kind of tension between them. it's not lost on the people sara meets on their journey, too. i don't know exactly when yet, but someone from the terajuma group asks if there's history between the two. sara just says that she knew her before meeting everyone but won't say anything else for the moment.
so far post-helojak island seems to be the best place for that, since in my head sara joins in with challenging crescent there, and they actually are frustrated with her at that point. xen just killed their mother right in front of them and being told to give up does not sit right with them, least of all when someone that should understand exactly why they would want to stop team xen is doing the discouraging.
they also don't like it when crescent pushes sharon in valor because like, wtf. i know most people will think that what she did is wrong but i'm noting it here since this is actually a moment where how sara sees her shifts some. while between here and the ss. oceania sara just wanted to avoid her and didn't actively feel negatively towards her, this actually made them consider how she may have changed between before(orphanage) and now.
once sara dies again.... well, i actually don't know? the cutscene where you sit with her is still canon to sara but i haven't picked apart the hows and why they may have done that. off the top of my head i think that they could possibly just want to set aside their differences for the moment since, as far as they're aware, they died and can't go back. ignore the fact that they did go back.
i know they briefly speak before amber's party as well but this is just another sara insisting on doing what they're doing
i don't think we see her for a long time after the terajuma arc is done, but i did think about them in karma files because i sure did diverge there. by a lot. oh boy. karma files is going to be super fun to mess around with and i am slowly edging closer to it and the only reason why im not there yet is because life happened and i need to finish a drawing or else it'll never be done. but anyways, in zeight, sara and crescent are interrupted, so they talk after that's dealt with. the souls of the rest of their friend group appear to them both as in canon, and the two agree to start over as friends just to see if they can properly reconnect. did i mention that i really love crescent in karma files. she's so great. do i remember karma files very well. no. of course not. but i remember loving the shit out of cres and i am going to love the shit out of her this time around too. just you wait
....the one thing i did not mention this entire time is that sara still cares about crescent. they were trying to avoid her for their own reasons i would like to touch on proper when i play paragon kf again, and they do talk about that with her. but i do not think they should be in a relationship at the moment, so they didn't. it's in the air in canon and from a writing standpoint if they'll ever get back together, there's a lot to consider with that already, so i thought it would be most interesting if there was not a clear answer just yet. but either way, depending on how crescent and their dynamic shape up in the future, i find what they have right now to be very interesting. i do love their relationship (romantic or otherwise), just for the amount of history and emotion they harbor towards each other.
i don't remember much else, but, like, do you see my vision.... i enjoy exploring the two's relationship in my head and literally anything with crescent is near the top of the list on things i want to see from v14

I honestly also think fan portrayals of Luffy (both by people shipping him to other characters or not shipping him to anyone) being so ""childish"" (when he had accepted before Vivi that they cannot save every people in war, & have other displays of maturity I'll mention below... he's just enjoying "stereotylically boyish" things/actively trolling cuz he's so confident in his & his crew's abilities/being indulgent behaviorally most of the time but he is very aware of loss, battle deception, etc.)
that they think he does not know anything about sex or romantic love... is majorly not canon!
Cuz (disclaimer a bit raunchy here) Luffy not only canonically consciously made a balls pun all on his own (the family jewels/kintama ie golden balls thing) in Amazon Lily & *explained* to them that those balls + "mushroom thing" can help make babies (so he knows what procreation is but isn't interested in that at this point in time & all of the main canon One Piece media so far... canon doesn't say he 100% will never want that)
At the start of Whole Cake Luffy also says sth like he knows marrying should only be done out of love & only wants to stop Sanji's marriage if he sees Sanji is not happy with it. Luffy even says he'll invite Sanji's spouse to be part of his crew if they want to! As in Luffy understands what marrying & spouses are, & doesn't oppose having a couple in a happy/healthy romantic/married relationship on his crew & boat at all within canon!
So Oda's words of not having romance on the boat is not absolute- it's just Oda setting the boundary that he wouldn't show romance happening on the boat in the main storyline because his storytelling for the Strawhats specifically would not focus on that, but none of his Strawhat characters have actively opposed to it. Oda even said he knows his characters can be interpretted however his readers want & has long accepted he has no control over that.
Luffy doesn't even call the Strawhats his adoptive family ever in canon! He calls them his friends! He differentiates between them, his friends, from Ace & Sabo who he calls his blood brothers! He never calls Zoro his brother, Nami his sister, etc. (if she is why did Oda not deny he ogled her under Usopp's influence??? Oda said in an SBS it's icky to do that towards siblings, so he'd never make Sanji do that ogling gag to his sister!) Even if Oda says the older guys are like the crew's dads, doesn't mean Luffy himself considers them his actual adoptive dads, for another example less related to this main argument.
So that original poster on Tumblr who recently puts in their z0s4n/one piece/opla post tag that Zolu shippers are in the same category of moral wrongness as incest shippers like Th0rk1 fans can kick rocks,
because the canon they think they're """following properly""" contradicts their own hcs (which they should realize are just personal hcs & not canon representation at all)
literally! just because luffy isnt interested in something doesnt mean he doesnt know what it is or that hes this innocent childlike character bc hes not lol
