hey friend! i am about to go to bed but this is such a cute question that i wanted to make sure i answered it before i went! i am very fickle about music - i tear through it. if i don’t find a few new songs i LOVE every week i get very cranky. as such, my favorite song is usually only my favorite song for half a second. right now these are my five new favs from this week:
genghis khan - miike snowwhy: it is lex luthor’s theme song. i keep thinking of a music video starring her and clara set to this song im so about it
r.i.c.o. - drake feat. a whole bunch of verses from meek mill for some reasonwhy: i always feel like a skeezy fuckboy when i listen to this song like i’m about to sneak around on the girlfriend i dont have or something. idk why but there’s power in that.
runaway - kanye westwhy: i keep imagining the trailer to a movie about lex’s experiences in middle school set to this song, just a bunch of teenage girls screaming at each other and crying in bathroom stalls. it’s a great backtrack to the moment where lex luthor transforms into the monster she will be for the rest of her life
m1 stinger (monsieur adi remix) - don diablo, noonie baowhy: i love the lyrics and the melody, i imagine it in the background of a movie i have yet to write
victorious - panic! at the discowhy: this song is so fucking electrifying it could raise the dead. AHHHHH!
