there's a kid in my 18th century literature class who bases his opinions of the readings on grammar, no matter what it's about. he reminds me of you. NOT a fan of Ben Franklin's weird capitalization...
i actually like ben franklin's capitalization. one of the things i like most about social media writing trends is that you can use capitalization as Emphasize rather than Just a grammatical aspect. however, i do base my thoughts on writing based on the grammar. Sometimes. it depends on the content of the misusage; there was once a fic that NEVER used periods at the end of quotes (example: "I know! It's awful that they do that" he began pacing), and even though it was a fantastic storyline, i could not continue reading it.

i. what. i fucking hate british grammar. they put apostrophes before the period. as in: 'blah blah blah'. IT'S ABHORRENT. a n d they often don't abided by the oxford comma. horrid.
