I think it’s the details you put into the line work, which is ALOT, also the way you draw faces
Yeah, I do tend to put a lot of details in my draws, which can be both a good and bad thing.
A "Simple drawing"? What's that? Never heard of them.
At the same time, the details can be so distracting that it sometimes make others overlook errors...like that one drawing of mine that has the wrong hand and people have yet to call me out on, even though it's SO OBVIOUS!!
Faces are the first thing I draw, so it's understandable that most of my attention goes there.

Hmm, well, I do my base drawings with lots of geometric shapes to get a basic idea of it, I wonder if that's what influences the "chiseled quality"?
Also, Yeees! Yay for saying it's "Sketchy and loose". Honestly, it confuses me when people say my linework is so clean. I'm always like...
Above all, I'm actually very happy to hear that you think my draws have a bit of volume! It's one of the benefits of doing dynamic poses to be able to imagine a draw in many different angles. Knowing that my characters have a bit of depth, I hope it allows others to be able to somewhat imagine them as "actual" characters instead of just flat lines on paper.

@khazrablood The Limbs? Actually, this is the first time I ever heard someone comment about them! That's actually awesome, and quite interesting to know! I'll definitely pay more attention to how I do them, to see if there is something significant about how I draw them, because right now, I can't figure what that is.
Although I try hard to make eyes and noses unique, I know the way i draw mouths are "one size fits all"... for the most part. Especially that little shadow under the lower lip. That's practically a standard, so i would agree that would be a sort of trademark.

You know... that comment about the backgrounds does help bring light to something for me. I know I try to avoid doing backgrounds if I can help it. If there is one, it's usually vague or minimal, because yes.. it does end up looking quite cartoonish. Nature is very fluid, and maybe it's because of my style that I just tend to try too hard to be "natural" or roundish" that it ends up looking very cartoony. It's something to consider, and definitely something I need to pay attention to more.
Bold, strong and clean cut! This is funny to me, because I used to be told frequently that my lines were "light handed and thin" when I would draw on paper. Mostly because it was done on mechanical pencil. Using a digital brush gives me more opportunity to give lines depth and, I suppose, "strength."
