It is SasuHina, so I will let you imagine who is who.

Wait wait, I've seen you reblog some posts about antis and proshippers and I wasn't really familiar with the terms, so basically you're a proshipper if you let people ship whatever they want even if you personally don't ship it? I thought that was basic decency? How is that wrong?

The short of it: antis are essentially conservatives who sprout recycled puritan rhetoric about “protecting the kids” (without every protecting any actual children) and have ZERO critical thinking skills.
“Proshippers” are exactly what you said; we ship & let ship (and understand that fiction is fiction) lmao.
I don’t really use tumblr but I really admire you as a writer. Not only the way you write but your consistency and ability to complete stories.
I wanted to ask, do you ever feel limited by writing Hinata focused fanfictions? Do you continue because of a love of the character or because it’s what you’ve become known for?

Huh. Not something I think I have ever been asked before.
I think the short answer is no. Long answer is, there is nothing really stopping me from writing something else, I just really like what I already write. I have kicked around writing for another fandom, but it felt really unnatural, and I just didn’t really enjoy the process, and I would rather just keep writing what I enjoy.
Do you continue because of a love of the character or because it’s what you’ve become known for?
I just like Hinata. I like putting her in situations.
While I am aware of what I have been known for, it’s not really on my mind when I start a story. My name is also ‘Lavender-Long-Stories,’ and I have like 50 one-shots and only like 25 stories over 25k words. I write really niche couples, with even niche-er AUs. Some of the stories I have put the most love and care into, I know will be read by only my most core readers or curious stragglers, but I spend hours writing chapters because I think it’s fun, and I love the story I make at the end.
I write because I want the story, and I share because I think others will enjoy it too.
Things that are on my mind when I write a story in terms of ‘what I am known for’ are a safe, happy ending and normally lighter topics (unless heavily warned), but I don’t see those as limitations but more so what I want to see in a story, and I am glad people trust me to continue providing them that.

I always plan for more GaaHina in the future 🤭, I just don't have any currently on the schedule. Don't worry I haven't stopped writing for them, I just don't have anything that is far enough written to announce putting out yet.
GaaHina is a couple I find I have difficulty plotting for, so I don't tend to get the stories as spontaneously as some other couples, but that has never stopped before.
I am currently kicking a plot around, trying to get it off the ground. Whether it works or not, I do want to have a GaaHina multi-chapter out this year.
Hey Lav, this isn’t really an ask, but I just wanted to say I love your fics—especially the Sasuhina ones. I’m not even in the Naruto fandom and only watched Naruto Classic, but my friend kept recommending your work and now I’m hooked. Red Memories and Lavender Memories are my absolute favourites—I loved seeing both perspectives and how everything flipped between them. I don’t even like modern AUs usually, but that Sasuhina high school one has me obsessed. Do you have any fave fics you’ve read yourself and would recommend?

On the topic of fics that I have read, I can't really give personal recommendation, unfortunately, my life is largely consumed with writing so I don't do much reading.

Like , i imagine you barely have time to , because all of the writing you're doing, but can the curiosity get the best of you to check out something other people wrote? If yes , what are they?
Unfortunately, I do not have an interesting answer to this.
Despite writing a lot of fan fiction over the last ten years, I have read almost none of it, and it's been years since I picked anything up.
At first, one of the reasons I started writing was that I had read through everything I could find that I wanted to read, and I was left with fic with tropes, situations, characterizations, and unhappy endings I didn't enjoy.
So if you can't find it, write it.
Now, I write everything I want to read, so I have no desire to read someone else's work.
That being said, I am sure that there have been things released since I stopped reading that I would love if I read them, but now I have a problem that I can't really read even if I wanted to because reading even a paragraph of someone else's work just makes me violently want to start writing and I have never gotten far. XD
Unfortunately, I can not give any direct recommendations, but I can recommend some of my online lovelies who I know work hard on their work. I can not speak to what is inside, so please read at your own risk. I know some of my mutual write smut, and some write... extreme smut. I do not know what can of worms that is in there. Read the tags.
