Definitely his stupid obnoxious laugh. It’s contagious. Even when I don’t want to smile, I hear it and I can’t help myself.

Story time!

When we were little Ma hated Richie. He was always looking like a disaster child, super hyper, rambunctious and generally just a lot to handle. Ma thought he’d be a bad influence on me so she didn’t want us to be friends. I told him that we couldn’t be friends because of what she said. Next thing I know, he shows up at my door “dressed up” in a super baggy button down, mismatched socks and pants that were way too big on him. Looking back, he might have even been wearing two different shoes. He came over trying to look neat and proper to convince my Ma that he wasn’t a delinquent, like he could prove he was good enough to be my friend by trying to make a new first impression. I know we were really little, but I think it started there.

Even if I had a shot with Eds, how could I do that to him? Drop that bombshell then peace out to California? “Hey Eddie. I’m hopelessly in love with you. But I don’t think either of us are built for the whole long distance shit. I know I’m not. I don’t know just thought you should have that tid bit of information to wallow in by yourself. Ok bye.
