🌻 topical for me right now but migraines suck. I am heading home from the office because I have one and its causing my eyes to freak out. What I really hate is mine seem to be triggered by a lack of or really poor sleep so I feel guilty when they happen after I've been out with friends and I feel like I just can't enjoy myself. I hate that people assume its a hangover when actually I am more sleep deprived than anything else (I can have a hangover with no migraine and have done plenty of times 😅). I cannot wait to get off this bus and sleep for a few hours.
🌻 I hate when people say you can't be friends with people you work with. Some of my closest friends I made through work and I think its because we have made the choice to work in the industries we have because we have the same values and belief systems and because we genuinely love what we do. I had two now ex friends who constantly told me you can't be friends with people you work with and its kinda telling that the people who stuck by me have largely been people I know through work. It felt like at both school and uni we were forced together and our shared thing was we were in these educational institutions with only kinda flimsy, superficial strings pulling us together. And that's not me disparaging friendships made elsewhere, I just think you can make connections anywhere and we shouldn't restrict or put rules in place as to how we connect to people.
