Thanks for the ask! Here are some of my favorite Sambucky headcanons:

If Sam falls first, Bucky falls harder. If Bucky falls first, Bucky falls harder.

They dance together quite a lot.

Bucky calls Sam pet names in other languages as well. I headcanon that the Winter Soldier was taught a lot of languages (as in 40+ or something), and Bucky would use those languages to nickname Sam.

Sam crossdresses from time to time just because he indulges it so much. Bucky fully supports him (this works for genderqueer/genderfluid/nonbinary Sam lovers!).

Have I mentioned dancing together.

I've read fics where Bucky is drunk, but I haven't come across fics with drunk Sam. So here's my little thought (with illustrations!): Sam is the kind to be really extra and talk a lot when he's drunk. Do what you will with that information.

Oblivious Sam and desperate Bucky is honestly one of my favorite tropes for them. The first reason for this that I can think of is because of Riley's loss that Sam closes himself off a lot more towards romance, which leads to him mostly taking anyone's advances with a grain of salt. Especially people who are close to him. He'll just pass it off as them being playful and joking around.

The second is Bucky's tendency to rarely express his feelings too openly. Imo this dates wayyy back to the 40s where he was still very much a ladies (and fellas) man. His flirting worked because he was fishing for flings most of the time - there was not much affection and connection involved other than brief attraction. Due to this, he gets a bit lost when he has to actually acknowledge that the connections (specifically with Sam here) are likely to be long-termed and express what he feels properly.

Their love languages are also slightly different, so sometimes Bucky's acts of service just go over Sam's head.

Late answer but! There's a lot of things that I love Sam for. Here's a (hopefully) comprehensive list!

His sense of justice tends to lean toward the people more than anything (does that even make sense??). He has a deep understanding of the people and especially POWs. He used to work at the VA, he gave up his life to bring Bucky home, he understood Steve on a human level, and he pays immense attention to black vets and always strives to make the public recognize them. That's also why he makes a better Cap in this period of time imo. His justice isn't focused solely on America itself but everyone in the world who is facing injustice.

He's family-oriented. Coming from a country that highly values family, I think I connect deeply to that aspect of him. Sure, his sense of justice drove him away from his family, but he owned up to that and tried to make it up to his sister and nephews. Also he is so determined to keep his family legacy, and I love that for him?? Family man W, he should be my wife.

He's kind all around, but not a pushover. He jokes around and laughs and all that, and that's mostly how we sees him. But he also has his opinions and isn't afraid to stand up for himself, doesn't let anyone put him down. He doesn't tolerate Bucky's bullshit even though they're (technically) friends.

He's so skilled in what he does. Like, the man can fly and fight and use a giant boomerang and fix his robot bird that probably still uses Stark tech and do smooth talk and joke and just?? All the while not possessing anything superhuman like the super soldier serum or a genius brain. He gained all them skills entirely through practice. He's the embodiment of practice makes perfect. Just built different fr.

He has the best sense of humor. That's it. That's the tweet.

A lot, actually! I know I post a lot of Sambucky, but I do have other (pretty generic) ships I like, namely Romanogers, PalmerStrange and so on.

I do like Ironstrange and some other, more minor ships as well, but usually only when they get canon content (cough hyper-fixation cough).

Other Sam-related ships I follow are Samsteve and SamT'Challa. And the mixes of said ships (Samstevebucky etc.)

I also have a strong opinion about Stucky, mainly because of the toxicity of the fandom. The ship is cute in and of itself, and I love the abundance of fanwork, but the fans are a little too extreme to really get me into it.

Jokes aside, I'm glad someone finds my cultural stuff nice and tolerable lelel I do have to admit I get very aggressive sometimes when it comes to cultures (especially Viet culture because hometown mmm), but I just wanna let you guys know that I really, really appreciate the fact that some of you still enjoy (and some even wanna learn about!) what I bring from my culture into this fandom ^^
