This is going to sound crazy, but I heard this idea and I don’t understand why no one is talking about it. I just to share this idea with someone.
So, there is a common belief that Nikki went to jail after the events of Obsession. It seems like an obvious conclusion, because there is so much evidence against her.
However, there might be a way for her to get her freedom back that so many people are not realizing.
So, it is established that is really easy for someone to get a wish toy. We know that many people have used these magic devices before Bear. There probably will many more people who will buy and use this toy.
This toy has multiple reviews online for it. There is also a customer service line for this toy. The fact this toy has a warning label at all is proof that many people have used this toy. If so many people have made a wish with this toy, it is very possible that many people, like Bear, have also made selfish wishes that ended in disasters with this toy.
(My personal theory is that a big mega corporation makes the wish toy. The corporation has plausible deniability because it appears that toy only works half of the time.)
Where am I going with this?
It is possible that some police officers know about the wish toy. Maybe some lawyers know about it. There might even be an entire community of victims who know the truth. If there are people who know about this, there might be someone willing to help Nikki.
She would still have the trauma of everything that happened. However, there might be a way for her to not spend her whole life in jail.
This was a crazy idea that I had. I had to share it.
I really enjoy your theory, there's also some skits about it online and one I liked has the other officer jokingly wish to know everything that happened there as his throwaway wish. Kinda implying that most people in the town who are in the know use it as petty shortcuts. Similar to the billion dollars or the online forum
Uhmmm I actually think Nikki wouldn't go to jail though! I think there's a lot of evidence against it since Bear and her DNA is everywhere and tldr is that she's so obv beaten and then Sarah's body being enshrined and a guy NIKKI had a relationship with having an execution death points to Bear (who had no wounds on him) as the perp over Nikki. There's no ring cameras anywhere nearby since the town keeps to its older cozy feel a lot, and older people wouldn't want tech like that in a small town and people in their gen wouldn't want it either when they talk about doing drugs in the past lol. I elaborate more on it in thisss post [ LINK ]
In an interview Curry, talks about how the wishes all work and how it's a massive plot hole and there's no real way to make it make sense. At first he says that every wish sets you into a parallel world where only your wish exists but then backtracks because Ian's wish shows. I'm super into the interviews rn especially since there's so many since they're pretty worth it to find out more of the meta details behind the scenes.
I dooo believe that since it's all connected in some way that there's support groups out there but it'sss um. It fits the theme of SA since theres survivors groups out there and I know it was really important and a group effort from the entire cast to make sure that the SA parallels and Bear being the villain is never lost. So I think it ties in well for Nikki to find other people
Also! Lots of people say there's mixed reviews on the wish cause the people who got the replica items have said that the instructions on it say to light the stick on fire and then snap it in half. There's a popular theory that it works because Bear ignores the instructions and all the warnings!
I really enjoy your theory though, even if I only incorporate some of the views into my own thoughts
