it is so cool that you’re going to school to become a sex researcher !! what are some sex facts you’ve learned that are most interesting to you ?
oh thank you!!! tbh i can't think of any "facts" off the top of my head... i'm a social science researcher so we do much more like. incremental stuff and everything is very contextual and we're constantly hedging. that said, my recent research has been on sexual scripting, meaning-making in sexual practices, sexual cultures, etc. if you're into that here some awesome papers to read:
Hoppe, 2011: "Circuits of power, circuits of pleasure: Sexual scripting in gay men’s bottom narratives." https://doi.org/10.1177%2F1363460711399033
Lamont et al., 2018: "Navigating Campus Hookup Culture: LGBTQ Students and College Hookups." https://doi.org/10.1111%2Fsocf.12458

AND MY PERSONAL FAVORITE!!! Wilson, 2009: "Black lesbian gender and sexual culture: celebration and resistance." https://doi.org/10.1080/13691050802676876
