When I first started reading classics I got them wherever I could, but when I got to college I started to fine-tune my collection to get the most accurate story possible! I think it’s important when reading classics to make sure you’ve got a good edition, because sometimes publishers/family members of the authors actually end up editing the novels posthumously!
