first post with actual stuff on it
naturally, because it’s one of my favorite things, i want to talk about bungo stray dogs. i want to talk about one of my many gripes with asigiri as a writer (more on that later), and that’s the way that he can’t commit to death.
the reason i find bungo stray dogs so frustrating is that asigiri never commits to death unless they’re a a plot device for another character. it gets boring watching a cat-and-mouse game like dazai and fyodors in the mersault arc because asigiri doesn’t keep the stakes high with how much he fakes out deaths. there are NEVER real consequences for the characters and it becomes less engaging the longer it goes on.
please im so desperate for another villain. i’m tired of this russian. i want agatha christie to show up and truly just be the coolest, most baddass villain above everyone else i’m on my knees, asigiri
so when is ‘no beta we die like asagiri’s faves’ going to become a thing?
