Like... you're a regular customer at Pizza Hut or Domino's, or whatever pizza chain you order from, but he's your usual delivery guy and you keep ordering during his shifts like clockwork. At first he thought that you probably just liked pizza and craved it during late night movie nights, but he started noticing a pattern and whatnot.

The way you'd start small talk with him, or tip him more than necessary. He found it endearing, and he was totally thankful for the tips, but you didn't really have to go all this way to be nice to him, right?

That was until one of the days you ordered pizza was when he saw you open the door looking more tired than usual. That was when he saw how red-rimmed your eyes were and you were trying to hide your sniffles. Vernon checked his watch. You were the last customer for his shift. He asked what was wrong and you burst into tears, so he invited himself in with the pizza when you opened the door wider.

You babbled on and on about how your date stood you up, and that you dressed up all nice and dolled up, only for your date to be a no-show. Vernon sighed, hesitantly patting your back, comforting you in the best way he could.

After a while, you'd finally calmed down, wiping your tears and blowing your nose on a tissue before realising you've taken enough of Vernon’s time and apologised.

"Nah, you're good. My shift's almost over anyway, so, if you want I could, uh... stay?"

You blinked at the cute deliveryman before nodding and opening the box of pizza, offering him a slice as you picked some cheesy comedy.

Because what do you mean she's not? SHE EMITS THAT LESBIAN VIBE— and my gaydar is never wrong. This gives off gay. To me. I will keep feeding myself these delusions.
