"I didn't think you'd want to see me," Hans murmured, when at last he arrived at the Queen's bedside. Taking a seat near his wife, Hans was a silent for a long moment before he cupped her hand with his own--yet he could not bring himself to meet Elsa's gaze. In little more than a whisper, he said, "I was so sure this time, Elsa. I *felt* it. I even... began to write down names... for our baby..."

Her voice was nothing more than a soft whisper, as audible as the flutter of a butterfly's wing. Tears continued to roll down her face. It was almost ridiculous, how upset she was about NOT being pregnant. How worried she was that her husband was angry with her. However, he loved her right? So he would understand, right?

She feared he would not. She feared he, too, was angry with her. She knew how much pressure he had on his shoulders to have children. It was ten times worse than the pressure on her own. At least she had Anna's daughter and any other children her sister would have with Kristoff. Hans was the last of his family. Who would his crown pass to?
