- fourth member of the ninja team and the grey ninja! The oldest in the team so far (but not for long-). Was 17 when he first joined, now heâs 18. to him, the rest of his team are like little siblings he never had.
Heâs pretty much like the mature adult of the team, makes you kinda wonder how HE isnât the one chosen to be the leader of the ninja team⌠I mean, it sometimes feels like heâs babysitting them!
- Asher is, most of the time, a pretty laid back guy. Theyâre calm, always so âchillâ. Theyâre like the cool uncle but at the same time, they can be strict themselves when they have to be. They know when to be serious, knowing that not everything is just some silly joke. However, they do have a sense of humor too. but to most people, it may make the guy look like a âboomerâ.
- Speaking of being a âboomerâ, Asher acts more old than he actually is due to being the oldest in the team (so far). Heâll literally end up sometimes saying things like âback in my dayâ just like most old people do, then get embarrassed immediately right after, getting a few tiny laughs from the other members. Especially Ataru (the purple ninja).
- Asherâs ninja suit ended up looking like a⌠butterfly? Weird. Out of all things, this is not the kind of design he expected to have. Till this day, it still confuses him. They donât even like showing off that much. Itâs not their style.
- but there is one time he ended up causing a big scene all because back then his kinda younger self decided to drop out of high school (reason unknown and he doesnât like talking about it), that REALLY changed alot of things in his life, including his relationship with his own family who got very upset about it to the point they just disowned him.
But there was one family member that respected his decision: his dear aunt, Barbara. She fully supported him and his choices, not judging him one bit. She thought the rest of the family was a bit too harsh on Asher and so with the kindness in her heart, she let the guy live in her house along with his 2 younger cousins who were there too.
And as a way to thank her, Asher ended up taking a job at her cake shop and has been working there ever since. Unfortunately, his new âninja side jobâ seems to get in the way sometimes nowadays.
- that butterfly wing part of Asherâs mask didnât originally come with the suit, itâs actually a brand new part made by Berri for him to hide the burnt side of his face. He himself had specifically asked for it, he was concerned about possibly scaring off other people with it. The eye hidden by the part is blind and doesnât really âworkâ anymore, it took a long time for him to get used to it after what happened to it.
How did half of his face get burnt? An accident, happened during training with another member of the ninja team after he had been with them for a long time now while still being 17 at the time. The said member was Seth, the red ninja and leader, who was just trying to help him with the training.
The red ninja had used his ninja rage form to do a fireball as a sneak attack behind the grey ninja, he thought the guy would quickly dodge it since he had done it with most attacks so far.. but he was wrong. The fireball ended up hitting Asher as soon as they turned around, right on the side of their face and eye (bullsâeyeâ /j) and then only screams of pain were heard through the entire room while Seth watched with horror and the other members got very worried and scared about what just happened, already rushing to try to helpâŚ
After what had went down, Asher got some help from Berri to try to heal most of the burnt side of his face. They were able to get rid of the pain from the burn and all but they unfortunately werenât able to restore the sight of his eye so he is now half blind. Asher gave the yellow ninja a request to make him something to cover the burnt side, they accepted it and thatâs how the butterfly wing part on his mask was made.
Seth felt extremely guilty for the accident, he had even broke down to tears for the first time in front of everyone. Asher, even though he had lost half of his sight cause of what happened, surprisingly forgave the red ninja easily, he wasnât too upset with him as he knew that it was an accident. Asher soon got used to it after so long. While Seth started using his ninja rage form less and less.
Till this day, Asher still has the butterfly wing part on his mask. Though when he isnât being the ninja, he has a simple eyepatch over his blind eye instead. And yes, it wasnât easy for him to explain to his aunt what had happened to his face without accidentally spilling out his secret.
- Now as I already said, Asher currently now stays with his aunt and helps her with her cake shop that he works in. Barbara, most people call her âBarbâ, and her cake shop is called âBarbs Cakesâ. Barbara is a sweet old woman, probably as sweet as her cakes. But hurt anyone she holds dear like her dear nephew and you get smacked by a wooden roller HARD. She has 2 daughters who are Asherâs younger cousins, Jackie and Juliana. Sometimes, Asher calls them both âJack and Jillâ as a joke. They donât like it.
Ataru often goes to Barbs Cakes for some cake and coffee, which is exactly the same place where he and Asher met back then when they werenât ninjas yet and Ataru was 16 while Asher was 17. they went from strangers who didnât know each others names to close friends and secret ninja partners way later on.
- Asher often stops Ataru from having coffee all the time, as they think that the boy shouldnât consume that much caffeine to begin with and could be bad for his health. However, Asher isnât any better and drinks coffee way more than they should too. Like, this guy drinks about like 3 cups everyday!
Itâs a surprise that he doesnât seem to have dark eyebags under his eye often..
- Asher is very good at being quiet and stealthy, as quiet as a mouse. Heâs so good at it, TOO good in fact. There are times where one of his teammates didnât hear him at all while heâs around and the moment he finally speaks up, they get scared shitless. He now tries to not to make it happen often, but it still does.
- the âmainâ weapon Asher would often use in battle when needed is the sai, usually two of them. Heâs the type of guy to sneak up on an enemy, then attack them from the back before theyâll notice.
