when we talk about how stereotypically āsmartā people are statistically unhappier, can we discuss also how intellectual students are taught to eschew personal social connections in pursuit of academic and professional ambition & about the link between developmental disabilities and high intelligence and how ableism results in anyone ādifferentā being ostracized?
like can we talk about how youāre not doomed to be miserable just because youāre smart (and that itās not inherently ~intellectual~ to be fucking sad)? can we talk about how happiness is less about our narrow-minded definition of intelligence and more about meeting our basic needs ā social ones included???
