Someone who shouldn't be familiar. Trimmed short dark brown hair, soft green eyes, the exact same slightly worried look on his face that Abolish couldn't forget. An individual who was not supposed to be alive, and yet, Abolish felt like he'd been stabbed in the chest looking at him; the same pain he'd experienced whenever he'd felt his sire die.

Part of his brain that was stuck with his vampire instincts was practically cheering, but the rest of him seized up with panic. He tore his gaze away before Legundo - if that was still his name, he had no idea - could catch him staring like some kind of creep.

He needed to get out of here and tell Morcant what was going on as soon as possible. And yet, he couldn't force himself to get up, not when the mere presence of his sire was soothing something deep in his chest that he'd pushed all the way to the back of his mind until now.

He sipped his drink again. Maybe he could stay a little longer.

"Do you mind if I sit here?"

Rosemary  should have known that Elvis Presley was trouble, but she just couldn’t help herself when she was around him. 

Part 1

“Come on Rosemary, it will  be fun.’ Grace, one of Rosemary's friends commented, “It will be fun, and it will get you out of the house and away from your parents.” Rosemary, who had been quietly in the booth, looked at her friend, “My parents aren’t that bad.”  “Yes they are.” Mary, one of the other girls, commented, “They are going to make you go North to a private all girls school because they saw us walking down the street and talking with Angela.” 

Rosemary’s parents were against segregation and the fact that their daughter was seen talking to someone that was of color angered them. “I am just sayin’, if they want to send you to the school there we might as well give them a reason to send you there.”  The bell above the door rang and a group of people came into the room. 

“See that girl in the front? Dark hair, blue dress?”  She followed Grace’s point and nodded his head, ‘That’s Sylvie, that’s Elvis Presley’s cousin. He is doing a show downtown tonight.”  “Elvis? As in?” She mimicked his pelvis motions with her hand. “One in the same. We heard that if you want to get anyone close to him, you have to go through her, and she is tougher than his manager.”  “That’s your idea?”  Rosemary questioned, “Is whoring ourselves out to Elvis?”  Grace and Mary grinned almost identically. “That’s exactly it.”  The older of the three girls stood up and went to the bar where the group was ordering. 

“Excuse me? Miss Presley?” Sylvie who had been leaning against the counter with her fingers tapping against the smooth top, her head going to the beat of the song that was playing on the jukebox. “Yes?” The man next to her turned as well and smirked before leaning over and whispering something to her. “Petey.” She warned digging her elbow into his side. 

“Let me guess. You want to meet Elvis Presley.”  Grace inclined her head before glancing over her shoulder at the table. 

“Tell me sweetheart, what have you  got that any of these other girls here or in this town have to offer my cousin.”  

Petey chuckled lowly and leaned back against the counter next to Sylvie, this was a riot to see his sweet cousin playing matchmaker even though they knew full well that Elvis had a girl Leslie at home. “Because Ms Presley, we are good old southern girls just like you.”

 They had all heard rumors about Sylvie Presley and how she wrangled things like Elvis’ mother would have and that she was everything that Elvis would have expected from his own woman.
