Hello, all, and welcome to the first installment of Ash's Various Foods and Drinks! Today, I got a taste of one of the most in beverages in the ASOUE canon, parsley soda! True to the show, it is green and strangely enjoyable for a savory soda. It also makes you question just why it tastes good..

You will need-

A bottle of lime flavored sparkling water (I used a sort of lemon lime thing I found at my grocery store, but if you’d like to be fancy and use Perrier or something feel free!)

Parsley (I used curly parsley because it has a stronger flavor)

Ice

Two cups that you hold together with a towel and a firm grip

A fork

To make this strange soda-

Take your cup and fill it halfway with ice. You’ll want to leave room for the parsley, since you’re going to use the ice to get some flavor out of the leaves.

Separate the leaves from the parsley stems and put them on top of the ice.

Put your other cup on top of the cup with the ice and the parsley so that the rims of the cups are touching. Hold the cups together with a towel wrapped around them and shake for a bit.

Take the top cup off and see how bruised the leaves are.

Take your fork and stab the parsley around. Put any ice that tries to fly out of the cup back into the cup.

Once you’ve pummeled your parsley to your liking, fill the cup halfway with sparkling water. Repeat step five until the taste of the parsley is apparent along with the taste of lime.

Strain the liquid into another cup. Nobody wants to drink whole crushed leaves. There will be a few little bits of leaf that make it into the final product, and that’s ok.
