Thereās an exhibition event for all the countries/city states. Caitlyn comes to Darius to organize things for the thematic potluck (each country providing signature dishes to share their culture etc. etc.) but heās like WTF no, we are not giving away food. Sheās like fine, whatever, Iāll find someone else. Heās pretty confident she wonāt.
But on Cultural Potluck Day or whatever he shows up and thereās a Noxian table, with actual Noxian food. āWhat the hell?ā he says to Talon. āMaybe they got Riven?ā Talon, suddenly holding a plate that he wasnāt three seconds ago: āNah.ā *points to Riven crying about how good it is and how much sheās missed REAL Noxian food* āSheās right. This Spicy Pigeon is actually amazing.ā Darius can smell that, thanks, but A) no way heās admitting it, B) how dare someone disobey his orders on this matter, which means C) NO he will not be trying the frankly-amazing-smelling Spicy Pigeon.
He goes to ask Caitlyn where she found some traitor *ahem* someone to cook the Noxian food. But sheās like āIDK, I delegated thatā (if you follow the chain of delegation through the Piltoverian champions you will find that it ends with Ezreal, which, given any knowledge of the writer, will reveal the identity of the cook). But Darius is blissfully oblivious of his authorās proclivities, so he gets grumpy and sends Talon off to unmask the traitor cook.
But when Talon returns he has been suborned by promises of (special festival cake I havenāt decided on a name for yet)-based bribery.
Then Riven receives some ācare packagesā (cooks like it when you like their food, and also itās riling the Noxians up, win-win). And Talon attempts to bargain for better bribery rates. Noxians in disarray! Itās unlikely this will result in actual civil war, but it DOES end on a line referencing the title that implies that wouldnāt be an unacceptable outcome.
