now imagine being the elf who hears the call of the gulls in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. there’s fields as far as even the elven eye can see, you’re hours away from any notable city, landmark, anything. and you hear fucking gulls. there’s a bunch of stupid ass seagulls nowhere near the sea, chilling in a field, and unbeknownst to them they’ve unlocked a deep urge in you to sail west. you don’t even think the country you’re in has a coastline to sail from. you’re soooooo fucked.
