I'm so in love with these Holbein paints. The cold press paper was a new thing for me too (the next piece will be me trying out the it press). This uses the same sketch as my last piece although I modified it some and took a little more time on the sketch, which originally was thrown together in a half hour. Even this better version I managed to get done mostly in two days (my speed is improving!!) * I had so much fun that I stayed up way too late last night to do her. There's a part of me that wanted to go in with colored pencil and do some more work that way, but I feel like the hot press will be better for the way I do that. * My inexperience with watercolor still shows to me but I feel like I made a lot of improvement and have been learning a lot. I need to learn these paints though and learn to remember which one's reactive a lot (like the red of her paint!) * I'm so happy with how she turned out.
