Даже кисть держится тремя пальцами, а не двумя. Линия играет огромную роль: например, она никогда не начинается с тонкого кончика. Вместо этого, линия начинается специальным движением, благодаря которому у линии появляется «узелок». Заканчивается, чаще всего, так же. Нельзя бросать кисть быстрым движением, как это делается в европейском рисунке или скетче, линия тогда получится «висящей в воздухе». A line can’t start sharply, I have to “ground” it to the paper with a little knot, otherwise the line will stay “floating” on the paper. It’s a slow painting, too.
