Hello to all our clients currently using our themes, it’s been a tough year so we hope you are all doing well, safe and are healthy, thank you for your support throughout this year, it means the world to us! =D

We’ve currently been in the midst of some big projects and own internal challenges through these trying times so there are certain things we haven’t been able to accomplish according to our timeline which we planned at the beginning of the year, one thing in particular that’s bugging us and also you as clients has been the instagram feed. Please understand the issue isn’t necessarily any coding issue on our part as Instagram has made changes to their API(which is normal for companies to do every few years for security and performance reasons) which means we must make changes and rebuild our feed so it not only works for 1 user using 1 theme, but to make sure the solution is workable for every user where we must find and provide a solution for clients to be issued new tokens and credentials to allow your feeds to be active once again and also that the solution must include no coding or technical stuff required on your end. Soon we will have the solution finalized then updated in every theme in our catalogue and rolled out as updates, if you have made no changes to the theme source code the update should be installed onto your blog automatically, however if you have, simply save the changes to a code editor or a code friendly notepad, re-install the theme on your blog through the theme page and then cope/paste your custom codes from your notepad back into the theme. From the way things have been going we should be able to have all these updates rolled out for you within a months time.

Hello everyone,

For those of you using the GAIA theme, we’d like to let you know there is an update being released including changes for the social linkin input, now just simply copy/paste your complete social URL rather than your username or handle, we find from support that many people prefer this new way and we hope it will lead to less confusion for new users :D

Also we made changes affecting the aesthetics and also the link output URL has been made into a shorthand URL rather than absolute URL which sometimes can appear very very long and messes with the aesthetics.

We believe these changes will improve the GAIA theme both aesthetically and technically(in the sense that the theme is easier to use in the edit theme panel).
