Last spring (2016) Bobby and I took a weekend trip to Madera Canyon in one of our (many) favorite places: Southeast Arizona! Hiking the main trail at a brisk birder’s pace, we made it a mile up the canyon in 5 hours. What’s amazing about Madera is the diversity of habitats and life-zones you can experience in such a short distance.
