So here’s a longish post to go with this picture. A few weeks ago my sister in an argument with my mum made a nasty comment about my weight (I wasn’t actually involved in this argument). It hit me harder than I’d have liked, I’ve never been bullied for my weight which is actually pretty lucky, but she’s not a very nice person and she’s said a lot of bad things about people different from her so I figured I’d move past it, I won’t take it to heart when it’s from someone who thinks like that. Fast forwards a few weeks and there’s another argument and another nastier comment thrown forwards. I’m not as affected this time, it just shows her up. So while I was walking past a mirror I figured I’d actually draw myself, flaws and all. And even in a cartoon style I’m really nervous and slightly terrified to post it, but I want to show people that to have scars and be curvier and to have stretch marks is totally normal 😌 I still have days where I look and get really self conscious but I’m trying my best ✨ That’s why I mainly draw curvier characters; it’s just what I know 😊
