She's the champion. She's number one!
BACK OFF, GIRLS.
She's miiiiiiine! π©·
Happy birthday to the center of my universe.
When Daniel and I decided to put a deposit down on this litter, I was looking for a dog to follow August. Go everywhere, do everything, and do it with a smile. Dinah doesn't just play that part. She wrote the script.
Across multiple sports, states, social situations, and moods, Dinah shines. She will run headfirst wherever I point her. She is the dog I send coworkers to kiss when they're having a tough day. She's a demo dog, at class and at work. She's my constant travel companion. She is safe enough to run loose at a graduation party and tough enough to pack a punch on the schutzhund field with a grip that won't quit. To say I would be lost without her is an understatement.
If you had the misfortune of talking dogs with me during her first year of life I am sure you heard me obsess over messing her up. The most important thing I've learned about this dog in these 2 years is simple.
She is unruinable. Dinah forgives my mistakes as though they never happened. She recovers from a bad day or a bad session with a grace I envy. There is nothing she cannot do. Unfortunately for the rest of us, she knows this.
There will never be another Dinah. I cherish every single day that I get to be her handler. I'm looking forward to many more years of swimming, hiking, camping, biting, making mistakes, and trash training with my most best girl π
