Josh works barefoot in his studio. When he does actually wear shoes, his footwear consists of worn out converse and DMs.

Chris plays video games casually and competitively. Sometimes he takes them a little too seriously.

Both boys are guilty of zoning out when the other is explaining something they're passionate about, be it movies, games, art, work stuff; quietly nodding and smiling while the other guy talks, being all smitten and junk.

Josh sometimes forgets to eat/sleep/do anything else when he's engrossed in his work, and Chris brings him care packages. Granted, they aren't the healthiest, but it's the thought that counts.

Some way down the line, Chris relents, and the boys get matching stag tattoos.

*cracks knuckles* Well…

The answer to this changes depending on mood, but my two current self-indulgent faves are the Art AU and the Porn AU, both results of rambling convos with @desperado-raspado , and for different reasons.

I’ve been rolling around in the Art AU for months, so have a big soft spot for it. It’s Climbing Class-centric, which is totally my jam, but also features the others on the periphery which is nice. And everyone’s alive! I stole a lot from Raspa’s other AUs when I wrote for it and crammed them into this one, so it’s basically three or four AUs rolled into one. The main premise is hers, too. I’m a huge thief.

I really like the characters aged up and the alternative vibe, and the contrast between Josh as a slightly neurotic artist and Chris as a nine-to-fiver appeals to me for reasons I can’t quite pinpoint. It’s also fun thinking up ridiculous art projects for Josh to embark on while Chris tightropes between being supportive and quietly appalled. Plus there’s some background Sath in this AU, which is always good.

The Porn AU - another aged up AU - started as a really dumb joke but somehow turned into something that made feels happen (?!) The basic premise is, unsurprisingly, that the characters work in the porn industry in some capacity. The beauty of this AU is that anything goes - all the ships, all the scenarios, whatever you want - and there’s no messy drama involved. It’s a totally guilt-free zero calories AU to binge on, because sometimes you don’t want the drama, you know? Raspa’s touched on a few headcanons from it in her art (bless you, D), and it’s an AU I’d love to write at some point. Somehow, we actually managed to work out a plot of sorts.
