#art!!!!!!!!

this has been a work in progress for literally years (on & off with a big big emphasis on the off part - i worked on it Very intensely for a few weeks in 2023 and burnt myself out real bad and then just kind of poked at it every 3 months or so until picking it back up now) and i can finally call it Done Enough. made out of various junk, some new, some recycled. accidentally stabbed myself with needles and wire countless times making this thing (last time i bled on this was today. im fine tho it was just a needle stab). it was a genuine pain both mentally and physically but it's *done* now. the base of it is this horrible wire mesh that wants nothing more than to Hurt you and is certainly not a good craft material. i did not use a single drop of hot glue on this entire thing, it's held together with wire and thread and infused with my blood (unintenionally). the "braids" are chains made out of soda can pull tabs with red test tube caps rescued from the metal trash at work. the beak is pieced together from reflective tape and the eyes are painted glass cabochons slapped on an epoxy base. the white fabric on the face is from of one of those little laundry bags (the zipper got stuck closed forever and i had to destroy it to get stuff out so i figured i might as well put it to good use).

visibility from inside the mask is semi okay (there's several layers of a mesh fabric left over from this door bug net i installed) considering, well, everything. crappy phone selfies only for now, perhaps in the future i can bribe someone to take nicer pics of me wearing it.
