ran owes @arrowma a very late short starter!
Much like how her hair flew at every emotion they could pluck from her cold skin, she swept through the Kanto Region. One step at a time. One foot in front of the other. There was no goal, no reason or rhyme, in her ventures in the region, and she left as quickly as she arrived, the soles of her shoes unabated, hungering still to atone for the time spent idle in that Battle Castle.
Celadon City never appealed to her back then. Being underage and a psychic, even its famous Game Corner did not help.
Caitlin bit down on a yawn, though arms escaped her and shot straight upward, fingers laced to soak in the warmth of the city. Now, however, she understood. Muscles tensed, pricking her eyes. The city was a multitude of colors coalescing into a song, soft to the touch, near tangible as it settled in the lungs.
Caitlin collapsed under a tree's shade and closed her eyes. It was not like she was alone in the sentiment--there was already someone asleep when she reached the trees near the Celadon gym.
