• Tatsu, Maseo, and Oliver have this weird vibe?? like ppl who were once, or almost in a relationship, and have been through a lot together, and have unique histories with one another, but things didn’t work out or fell through and now they’re struggling to be around each other and its awkward and a lil heartbroken but they still care abt each others wellbeing? idk but oliver was def almost or previously tatsu and maseos third because ~*~*subtext~*~*~<br> • like srsly in that cabin when tatsu saved oliver from his wound and maseo was there there was so much regret and loss sitting between them all and it was shaped like akio • is it bad that i love the oliver in flashbacks, the ignorant white guy that is trying his best 25/7 and is learning to trust, more than the emotionally stunted "trust me, but i wont trust you" "ends justify the means" oliver of present??? • and i rlly saw flashback oliver appear again in that cabin, he was so gentle and soft around maseo and tatsu, i was so surprised and emoshunol • and he loved akio so much i really believe that living with them saved oliver-- they were the one bright spot in those dark 5 yrs-- because they were a family and they were loving and they let him in and reminded him of his humanity and akio trusted and loved him the way only a child could (i cry thinking abt dumbass oliver who never paid attention at school struggling to help akio with his homework and studying akios txt books in secret. "its all in mandarin!!" this dumbass complains. i_feel_god_in_this_chilli_tonight.jpg) • and i think tatsu growing to care for him, enough that she //gives him one of the three pots her sons ashes are in// honestly meant the world to oliver, like watching her come to love him despite the danger he brought to her family fucking humbled him so much, and he was proud of it, of this japanese-expat housewifes regard, something the frat-boy richie-rich of a couple years ago would have dismissed • and tatsu and maseo are so fucking tragic its not even a joke the goddamn fight scene where she kills him and he thanks her and she sings him the lullaby she sang their dying son made me feel more things than cardboard-cutout oliver has all season • and then tatsu just goes and returns to her life of solitude? stick a fork in me im done that is so. sad. is this penance to her? for not saving her son, and saving her husband too late?? i only want to die all the time • anyway the storyline and flashbacks for those three is so complex and horrible and heart-rending and the only thing that redeems The Mess of season 3

I still haven't watched it. I just can't. But today I'll watch it and I will probably die a thousand deaths. Wish me luck and tell me how fucked you were. K bye thanks :3
