homestuck was a huge part of my life for a while and it will always have a special place in my heart. i think the main reason it gets a bad rap is just because of the fan base, which is really no metric to judge the comic itself by!

it has some issues certainly but generally it’s clever and enjoyable and has some interesting things to say about deep existential questions that i think are especially appealing to late millennial/early gen z audiences
