I do love an aroace Jon who feels distanced from humanity because he knows he’s missing “core” parts of the human experience but I think there’s a non-zero chance he just thinks everyone else is weird (and stupid) about sex and romance.

Aromantic Jon is sooooo real to me. He has no idea I think. Love is just another of the many many things that people who know how to be human understand that he doesn’t understand. Just another part of being a person that he never figured out. He knows what he’s supposed to do, what’s expected of the role of boyfriend lover partner (something in him itches to consider himself in those roles. He doesn’t think about it). And sometimes he thinks he might be feeling love, or something like it. But it’s always so hard to grasp, and nobody has ever really stuck around long enough for him to try. So at some point, he stops.
