X-Men: The Hidden Years 7 was published with a cover date of June 2000. The issue revealed the origin of Deluge. Although Deluge tried to blame the village who cast him out and the leader of the expedition he accidently killed when he first manifested his powers, Ororo (Storm) told him all his problems were of his own creation. When Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Beast (Angel was being held unconscious on the trawler the Sigurd Jarlson) finally escaped the Savage Land and made it home, they found the Fantastic Four (Mr Fantastic, Human Torch, the Thing, and Crystal) waiting for them at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters.
