Army Application Process: #5
My Pre-ADSC is tomorrow and I didn't honestly think I would be nervous but I definitely am. I guess it's just for the icebreaker though - but that shouldn't really be a problem for me, I don't know what I'm winging about. Went and got my train tickets last week and to clear up what the next step is with my recuiter and stuff, which is two more interviews to hopefully get booked in before the end of the month, providing all goes well at Pre-ADSC, Quite excited though. It's the first test. Bring it on!
Army Application Process: #4
Went to the recruiting office again today to talk to the Sergeant. Changed my job choice to Aircraft Technician, as there are no Avionics Techs being taken on at all this year (sadface)... But if I don't get an A at ADSC then I'm going Communications System Op. So I'm happy either way - obviously I want the best I can get, but if I don't manage it I won't be disappointed. So all is well. Exciting stuff.
Army Application Process: #3
Rang up the careers office yesterday morning to confirm my attendance to pre-ADSC. Train tickets have been ordered and I'm drafting up a rough idea of what I think I'm going to say in my icebreaker (the talk I have to do to other candidates about myself and my interests). Just training hard to get my run time down, at best effort it's probably about 10 mins 30 seconds now, which was my goal originally but I'm aiming for sub 10 minutes now. I'm meeting with my recruiter on Wednesday morning to talk about a couple of queries I've got about my job preferences and such and we'll see how it goes from there.
Just gotta train hard now, plenty of hard work and determination will pay off in the end.
Army Application Process: #2
So talk of the devil. Today I got a letter through the door saying my medical documents got passed and that the next stage is for me to attend a pre-selection day at Grantham on the 13th February. Got to ring up the careers office to confirm my attendance and then go in to get my train tickets and joining instructions. Exciting stuff. Gotta keep working on my fitness and run time, managed to get it down to 10mins 30secs (which was my goal) yesterday, but it doesn't stop there.
Got something to look/work forward to now! Bring on the 13th.
