           “Oh, fine.” Gently, her hand caresses her neck as if to relieve tension. It doesn’t work. She and Salvatore spoke on the phone the other night. The duration of the call did not matter, yet - Delores will admit to herself that it was a bit over a hour. For in those last few moments, she confessed that there was something she would like to tell him tomorrow. It would not be that easy, Sal would reply, as he had ‘some things’ to do tomorrow night. But even with that said, there was insistence she could just tell him now.              A coward, she shied away. “It’s too much for tonight.”           So here she was tonight. Thinking of how it should have been 6 PM in Brooklyn, however his home phone rung and rung. Annoyed, Delores thought it was probably some gangster shit that preoccupied him. Or another woman, perhaps. As long as Salvatore wasn’t dead, Delores didn’t mind what he was up to. Alas, Vitale was intervening. Telling her to get some sleep. Her business now became his business without the old man even realizing it.          Delores merely sighs and for a moment, seems to consider retreating to her room like an obedient daughter. But, feet do not move across the floor. She actually settles more in her current spot, butterflies taking flight in her abdomen. Delores supposes - if she cannot contact Salvatore tonight -then Vitale could be the best person to confess this matter to?

       “Before I go to bed, there’s something I would like to tell you. The only reason I’m awake...” she begins, “is because I need to tell someone, something, that is very important...”

lola adopted elvira first, seven years ago when she was ten years old. he planned on possibly adopting a second child, but he wanted to focus on one initially and see how she felt about having a sibling. elvira expressed that she would like a sister, and so about six months later, lola adopted mari, at age fourteen. what elvira didn’t express is that she had wanted a baby sibling to bully, so she was upset that mari was actually older.

elvira and mari both had difficult childhoods prior to being adopted and spent some time in the foster system (which were important factors in why lola adopted them, coming from a similar situation himself). they didn’t get along well with each other, but for the most part did with their father.

elvira (who is now seventeen) has much more in common with lola, and they’re generally similar as people. it’s partly natural, and partly elvira imitating him, whether she realizes that or not. her speech is very similar to his (minus the louisiana accent), and she’s sneaky and manipulative. she’s far less compassionate than he is, if she is at all, which says something, since lola is not someone i would jump to describing as “compassionate”. she generally dislikes most other people, but will behave in a certain way to get what she wants from them. the only person she’s really fond of is lola.

she’s very intelligent, and her biggest interest is in makeup. she runs a successful youtube channel based around it, and loves causing drama online in the beauty community.

mari (who is now twenty-one) is much sweeter, and sort of naïve. she has a tendency to believe people’s intentions are good if they seem nice, which has led her to making some major mistakes. she has frequently felt like lola loves elvira more, because he seems to have a better understanding of her, she was younger when they were adopted, and elvira has deliberately made her feel that way. she’s very emotional and sensitive, and tends to get her feelings hurt over perceived slights.

ALEX  as  if  any  list  of  this  could  be  completed  without  mentioning  my  longtime  love  charles.  granted,  you  have  a  lot  of  amazing  muses  i’m  itching  to  get  more  familiar  with  and  your  gift  for  world  building  is  UNREAL.  the  headcanons,  the  family  histories,  the  musings  and  drabbles,  i’m  always  in  awe.  and  charles  just  feels  like  one  of  those  rp  touchstones  for  me,  i  heard  and  read  so  much  about  him  for  years  before  i  got  the  nerve  to  mention  interacting  with  him,  and  now  he’s  just  an  all  time  five.  writing  threads  so  sexy  and  so  sad  against  him  will  always  be  a  fave.

another  mention  to  @orumad  because  it’s  time  to  talk  about  the  king  of  the  castle,  dominic  caldwell.  it’s  wild  to  think  that  THREE  WHOLE  GENERATIONS  of  muses  came  from  us  just  wanting  to  fuck  around  with  a  cruel  intentions  plot.  we  literally  had  no  idea  waaaaay  back  when  that  writing  dom,  daisy,  lux,  emmy  and  everyone  would  come  to  this,  which  somehow  makes  it  better.  as  someone  who  writes  two  of  his  love  interests,  his  uncle,  his  father,  and  one  of  his  children,  i  am  in  NO  WAY  BIASED  but  come  on,  watching  melly  develop  dom  has  been  so  much  fun  and  she’s  up  for  anything  when  it  comes  to  where  to  go  next.  love  that  sad  rich  boy  !
