the truth is, the entire villain alliance is conspiring to fuck over shinsou, specifically
fast commutes could even strengthen "neighborhood" identities! not like "they become more different" but "the little differences are more important". as homogenous as irkens are they're still social, and social creatures love forming in-groups. i bet they constantly fight over the right condiments to put on their vort dogs
The idea that Irken subcultures rally around minor variations in how they consume otherwise identical junk food is 1) hilarious, and 2) honestly completely realistic for Irkens
ok i know its less likely due to cartoon logic and the massive being more or less a military vessel BUT your post on just how big the massive really is has got me thinking about potential cultural drift between groups of irkens living on opposite sides of the ship like... the usa as you demonstrated is significantly smaller but you can still get culture shock traveling from one end to the other

I feel like the Massive probably has some sort of super fast internal transport system, so that some Irkens' daily commutes could easily carry them hundreds/thousands of miles from one end of the ship to the other, BUT at a MINIMUM they're certainly going to have neighborhoods with slightly different cultures.
Maybe not HUGELY different, since the Irkens seem so insanely homogenized, but at least a little bit.
