Hunter knew he was going to get himself into shit if anyone found out he was friends with - and thinking about dating - a greaser. Not only would the other Socs get onto him about the dangers of the Greasers, but his family would, too. They were like most of the other Socs. They thought the Greasers were the lowest of the low. The scum of the earth; and it just wasn’t true. They just had to get to know one of them a little better, like he did. 

Arlene was one of the nicest people that he had ever met; toward him, at least. Toward a garden? Maybe not so much. But definitely around Hunter. He liked that she could soften up around him. When they had met, he’d been so intimidated by her. But, now, he loved just being around her. She brought a smile to his face.

But his family didn’t know about her. Well, maybe Frankie did. Maybe not. He wasn’t too sure, yet. He knew he’d have to tell her himself eventually, but he could deal with keeping it from her for now.
