She couldn't help but smile at Arjun. Of everyone she's ever met he's been the easiest to get along with. The one she's felt herself just gel into place. He hasn't looked at her like something might be uncanny even if she knew she looked every bit like a cis-woman it didn't matter to some something was off and while she hadn't told him yet it was more because she'd thought about it than lack of trust. "Yes please. I have too much socialization with children today."
She smiled sipping her coffee feeling like a schoolgirl. "Arjun. This is perfect." she whispered out. "And I always wanna talk to you. Everyone else I could do without some days but honestly any conversation or text I get from you is the best part of every day."
Arjun smiled over at her. “Then I’ll do my best to have better communication skills than a child today.” He teased gently. “What are you working on? Do you have a spring show or recital would be the word I guess. Sorry, I don’t know much about the dance world.” He admitted, but he wanted to learn. He wanted to support her in anyway he could.
His gaze drifted out over the water for a second as the boats rocked gently below them, ropes creaking in that slow dockside rhythm. “River,” he said softly. “I like talking to you too, it’s easy. I don’t feel like I have to… perform. Or be impressive. Or say the right thing every time.” He glanced at her. “With you, I just get to be.” He sat down on the bench, taking a sip of his coffee. “You’re the best part of my day too. Even on the hard ones.”
