Here’s two OC’s that I’ve been working on for a few months! Arjin and Basam! There’s some more info about their designs under the cut if anyone’s interested! Arjin is young human K/urdish/T/urkish woman and her outfit is heavily based on the traditional T/u/rkish dress from my mother’s village (tho I will probably change the dress into something more K/urdish bc it’s design is too complicated) and has deq tattoos (traditional k/urdish tattoos) Basam is actually a revamp of an old OC! He’s a young man descended from the Shahmaran (a half human half snake woman from Kur/dish/Ir/anian folklore) and his outfit is a mix of modern/older K/urdish clothes. He also has deq which is less common for men. It’s super difficult to pick palettes from old BW photos so their clothes will DEFINITELY change in the future but I’ve been putting off posting these two for legiterally a year so whatever. I forgot to draw it but Basam has a jambiya (curved knife commonly found in West Asia) and Arjin uses a kılıç (curved sword from Turkey, also might actually be a pala technically bc it’s short)
