Pose practice with Arieth, Tohru, Miku and Vanitas!
Inktober Day 13: Final Fantasy VII (1997)
I love Tifa and Arieth as friends and as a pairing too! This painting goes out to my brother Matt, who read the entirety of Final Fantasy VII out loud to me.

Final Fantasy XV and why did no one think to use a Phoenix Down on Lunafreya?
So this has been bugging me for a while now. I know that it’s a weird question, but it’s one that really bugged me after watching Episode Ignis. So we see that Iggy and Ravus make it to the location where Noct and Luna are by the water. Luna’s clearly healed Noct, and Ravus freaks out because his sister is dead and he couldn’t save her. He spends time fighting with Iggy and then collapse in pain and tears over his sister’s loss. It’s a heartbreaking and dramatic scene.
However...and this kind of bugs me...we’ve seen that Phoenix downs are a thing in XV. We even own them. They’re not that rare an item, and most players at this point would have one on Iggy. We know they can be used, so why, given Ravus’s story line, did they not have the option to use it on her?
I understand that it’s for the story, and that like Arieth before, she is an innocent that we’re supposed to feel bad for. But that’s the weird thing about this. If this really is an option in this world, if the idea is that you can save someone from death by using it...then cure to heal them up, why then does Ravus, the one that desperately wants to save his little sister, not use that option when he finds her?
Final Fantasy is not Fire Emblem where, once you’re dead you’re dead, it has ways of saving people, and that’s what’s frustrating here.
So can someone please, please, explain to me -other than, “It’s for drama” why no one, not Team Mom Iggy, and not the brother that needs to save his sister and is willing to kill the gods to do so, is unable to use a phoenix down on her?
It’s been something that I’ve had a hard time wrapping around my head since seven’s big death scene. I mean forgive me, but I can get Cloud not doing it, because...well he’s a bit of an idiot most of the time...and wouldn’t think to use it at the moment. But Iggy is known for his more logical actions, and yeah I know Ravus is in the throws of an emotional break down, but still, like...I would think he would do whatever he could to save her. It seems inconceivable to me that neither of these two logical guys would not be carrying around at least one of them.

Arieth’s body arrived yesterday so I can finally take photos of the brothers together.
Third time's a charm, right? This is my third attempt at making a wig for this guy. I think part of the problem is that my vision for him keeps changing.
The first wig was made of yarn and a hard cap, and was meant to be temporary. The second wig was made with wefts, but they weren’t curly enough, and the cap kept slipping off (the elastic didn’t sit right). This one is wefts on a hard cap and I’m hoping will be just right when it’s done!
