espina

anya espina-rosal (i usually refer to him as either prefect or espina) is my first yuusona, from when i was first introduced to twst a few years ago. so hes the ramshackle prefect yuu stand-in for my usual canon

(sophie asana i made fairly recently. she's also a yuusona but usually i imagine her and espina in separate aus)

honestly i don't have much on espina because im waiting for the story before i make any concrete lore. i would like for him to have magic later on, but im not sure how the details on that would work yet. espina is very chill and apathetic for the most part. he tries to be friendly and tries to avoid conflict, but he cares a lot about grim so he will get pulled into his antics often against his will. i don't have any big drama in my head related to him thus far so that's probably why i don't think or post about him often. and yes he is (eventually) dating malleus :')

skyllaros

for skyllahearts, i have,, somewhat modified their interactions pre-letter reveal since making the post i assume youre referring to about their old beef. in my updated lore it's mostly riddle who's bothered by him, but skyllaros doesn't mind him (he thinks he's cute lol). riddle's problem with skyllaros started when he noticed him always going into heartslabyul dorm even though he's an ignihyde student. while there are no rules against this, technically, this might count as loitering lol. and their interactions would usually go like that. skyllaros does something chaotic or conventionally inappropriate, while still technically not breaking any of the rules. so riddle found him irritating because he couldn't do anything about it

this mostly happens in riddle's 1st year (which is skyllaros's 2nd year), so by the time yuu arrives i think they've cooled down and gotten somewhat used to each other. they aren't classmates, but they observe each other from afar and learn to respect each other in small ways. skyllaros sometimes tried to communicate with him because he's friends with trey and he wanted to get along, but riddle still needs time to understand his eccentric behavior 😭 (in fairness skyllaros, what exactly do you think he's going to do with all these pretty rocks you keep giving him,,) on top of still wanting to get him for the headaches skyllaros caused him in the past year

their relationship vastly improves after the overblot, since riddle starts to think more about the rules' logic instead of following them. and skyllaros recognizes his effort to change so he decides to compromise as well and stop accidentally ragebaiting riddle,, the fact that their letter reveal happens also helps a lot with this later on

short answer: skyllaros is a yuu stand-in when riddle's onscreen. /hj

as it is rn im an anime/manga fan only bc i haven't finished watching the game version of the events. so in that case neither of my yuus are capable of doing what yuuken did during the overblot 😭 so skyllaros will get to do that instead. also that bit during the enrollment ceremony when yuuken pushes riddle from grim's fire. for most of the heartslabyul chapter, skyllaros is meant to be friends w whoever yuu is present. so he will help and hangout and share information that ace and deuce might not have (due to skyllaros being their senior at nrc)

asana

quick rundown of asana's family bg: she's from the modern era, like a typical yuu. her birth mother died when she was young, and she has a strained relationship with her father, who remarried. she has two younger half brothers that she has affection for. however, her relationship with her father has made her feel neglected for the majority of her life. which is kind of why she's attention seeking and feels spitefully entitled to anything she wants 🙂‍↕️

asana would love to believe she's the princess archetype. but protest as she might, she does fit right in with a school of villains 😭 this mostly stems from the character that inspired her: sophie of woods beyond, a girl that dreamt of being a fairytale princess only for her destiny to end up putting her on the path of evil. this isn't to say asana will be destroying the world or anything but that context is important to her character i think. asana is the kind of person that stands out wherever she goes; for better or worse. she will realize eventually that she has more in common with a pack of misfit villains than any sparkly prince or princess

i need to return to this later when i finally watch the scarabia playthrough 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ bc i am sooo lacking details but i didn't want to take forever to answer so. the base dynamic:

so since asana landed in twst, one of her goals was to become a princess. because. she deserves it. naturally, this requires a prince for her to marry

there are a decent handful of princes at nrc, but compared kalim, a lot of them are either mean and prickly (leona) or you never see them (malleus) and uh well. kalim 😭 😭 bless him for being the nicest guy at school. but that also makes him the easiest target

so yeah i thiiiink it's gonna work? they will be dating(?) for a bit? but after the events of the scarabia overblot, theyre gonna break up because kalim has feelings to work through. but! they are still very much close friends, and they still keep in contact after they graduate from nrc

their breakup was funny af bc it kinda went like

they're both very lively silly characters and they like similar things and know a lot of the same people. kalim is also the ultimate hype man which is great for asana. she likes bringing him along for shopping and sometimes makes him clothes. which he loves bc he can buy literally anything but these are handmade by bestie🥹 he will keep them forever

they're also crazy gossip collectors for funsies so you can just imagine the afternoon tea (many dramatic GASPs and NOOOO. REALLY? (YES. REALLY) can be heard in the distance)
