THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY

hey bb!! thank you and i’m sorry this took so long! i hope you enjoy :) i’m actually not so great at soulmate stuff bec like?? idk it’s hard for me not to try and rationalize or make it ~believable~ or make rules for that universe? but yeah!! here you go!

1. an idea i’ve had for the longest time is a color-blindness soulmate au, where the world is black and white and only shows up in color when you meet your soulmate and of course it would be from steve’s POV because !!! it just !!! steve turning to art and doodling and whatever and it’s all in black and white and then HE MEETS TONY, THE MOST COLORFUL MAN IN THE WORLD !!!!!!!!!

2. in every universe, it’s always you soulmate au’s where they just keep finding each other again and again until they get it RIGHT and they spend whole lifetimes getting to know each other until one day it all slots into place. it’s just SO stevetony for them to be like, made for each other, you know? and when they aren’t together, things go off the rails.

3. they never discover that they’re soulmates at the same time - i live for the dramatic suspense. tony would try to keep it a secret and never bring it up because, well-- no. and steve would be even more observant (driving tony up the wall: ‘does he know? has he always looked at me like that’) because he isn’t going to make a move until he’s sure, either.

4. alternately, the moment one of them realizes it after a long journey of getting to know each other over so many years, fighting and making up and saving each other from near death, and steve finally touches tony in a way that means something - he wants it to mean something, at least, and he’s doing it on purpose - and tony looks up at him, eyes bright and breathes out, “it’s you,” and steve is beside himself with joy and pulls tony close, breathes in. “it is, it is.”

5. also... lowkey.... i like to think that the sex they have as soulmates would be !!! SO DIFFERENT from sex they’d had with other people, just because it’s (cheesy as it sounds!!!) a soul bond and literally where do you end and i begin? kind of ! romantic ! intense ! kind of ! thing ! ! ! like the first time they fuck after they realize they’re each other’s soulmates? like it’s starts soft and tentative and a little wary, nervous to make a mistake, to somehow be wrong for the other person, and then the sudden relief that comes when their body unravels before you like a map that you’ve always known. that is the kind of shit! steve would think! okay!!!

I got scratched all over my body and was bleeding when I tried to save Alfie from some dogs today. I was able to get him but he was so scared that he scratched me. Pooe thing! I had blood and cuts everywhere. But hey! My baby stood up to those two little things barking at him!
